In 2004, the Dolderbahn underwent a comprehensive renovation, which included the overhaul of its vehicles at the VBZ central workshop and the reconstruction of its route. New swing switches were installed along the track, and the modernized stops now feature uniform and welcoming designs, providing improved passenger information.
