Description
Travel by air-conditioned minibus from Zurich or Lucerne through the Entlebuch Valley, Switzerland’s first UNESCO Biosphere reserve, and the picturesque Emmental Valley. See scattered farms across alpine meadows and rural landscapes on this scenic drive.
In Trubschachen, visit the Kambly Experience to taste a variety of premium Swiss biscuits. Learn about the biscuit-making process and watch master confectioners at work.
Arrive in Berne for a guided walking tour of the UNESCO-protected Old Town. Highlights include the late Gothic cathedral (Münster), the Zytglogge (Clock Tower), and the Parliament building overlooking the River Aare. Enjoy free time for lunch and souvenir shopping (lunch not included).
In the afternoon, return to the Emmental Valley and admire traditional farmhouses and grazing cows. Visit the Emmentaler show dairy for an audio-visual tour of the cheese-making process, followed by a cheese tasting near the master cheesemaker’s workplace.
Finish with a photo stop overlooking the Emmental hills and the triple peaks of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. Return with a goodie bag of Swiss delicacies collected during the day.
