Description
Meet your guide at Zurich’s main train station and take a local tram to the Uetliberg trailhead, Zurich’s 870 m (2,850 ft) home mountain. From there, enjoy commanding views of the city and lake below.
Stop briefly at the Uto Kulm observation deck for further sweeping views over Zurich, Lake Zurich, and the Swiss Alps.
Proceed at a gentle pace along the Path of the Planets, where each meter walked represents one million kilometers of our solar system. The trail leads along forest edges, meadows, and farmland, offering peaceful natural surroundings with scenic views high above Lake Zurich.
End your hike with refreshments on a terrace overlooking the landscape. Then take the canton’s only cable car down to its base station, followed by a short walk to a local train station for your return to Zurich’s main station.
