Experience Details
WaterBikes require a minimum rider height of 155 cm (5.1 feet). Those below this height or who prefer to relax can use a comfortable SUP mattress supplied for lounging on the water.
- No driver’s license needed
- No special skills required—no swimming or bicycle riding ability necessary
- Officially registered WaterBikes with Swiss safety and quality certification
- Stable catamaran-style design for all skill levels and calm rides
Tour Times and Meeting Point
Tours run weather permitting:
- Weekdays: 19:00 – 21:00
- Weekends: 09:00 – 21:00
Meeting point is Mythenquai 59, 8002 Zurich, next to Samigo Amusement Restaurant in Zurich-Enge. It’s a 10-minute walk from Bürkliplatz or accessible via buses 161 or 165 to Schweizer Rück stop (two stops away).
About WaterBike Adventures
A Swiss outdoor company focused on sustainable watersports, WaterBike Adventures promotes ecological products and offers joyful, accessible lake experiences. Their WaterBikes have received support from the Princess Charlène of Monaco Foundation and will participate in the 2026 Waterbike Challenge, a competitive 180 km sea race from Corsica to Monaco.
The company welcomes riders of all ages, whether alone or with others, providing an active and positive experience on the water.

- CHF 5.00 fee for SUP mattress rental
- CHF 100.00 cash deposit per WaterBike, refundable after the ride
Important Safety Information
- Wearing a life jacket is mandatory
- Swimming from or on the WaterBike is prohibited
- Only registered riders may operate the WaterBike
- No fire allowed on WaterBikes (including smoking, fireworks, barbecues)
- Maintain a minimum 50-meter distance from boats; maritime police enforce this
- Riding on the Limmat River is prohibited
- Only ride if fit and sober (max alcohol 0.5‰; no drugs or narcotics)
- Do not enter swimming zones marked by yellow buoys
- The lake basin is regularly monitored by lake police
- Intentional damage may lead to legal consequences
- Lake police intervention costs CHF 800
- Riding is at your own risk
- Drivers are responsible for any damage or fines
- WaterBike Adventures assumes no liability for accidents or damages
Cancellation Policy
Full refund available for cancellations made up to 24 hours in advance.
To book, arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes early and bring suitable clothing for water activity and weather conditions. Early evening tours are best for sunset rides.
