Description
This full-day tour from Zurich explores the Bernese Oberland and Jungfrau mountain region, ideal for nature lovers and outdoor adventurers.
Travel through scenic countryside to Interlaken, located in the Bernese Oberland. After a brief stop, continue to Grindelwald, known as “Glacier Village.” Lookout points reveal views of the triple peaks: Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau.
Optional activities include riding the aerial cableway up to Mt. First for the First Cliff Walk, a 40-meter suspension bridge above the valley. You can also enjoy a Swiss meal at a mountain restaurant overlooking the landscape. For hikers, there is a 6 km round-trip hike to Lake Bachalpsee, taking 1.5–2 hours with moderate incline. Alternatively, visit Glacier Canyon or take a nostalgic cable car to Mount Pfingstegg for panoramic views and activities.
The tour continues by bus to Lauterbrunnen, a village set between cliffs and waterfalls. This valley, known for its 72 waterfalls, inspired writers such as Goethe and Tolkien. Enjoy free time to walk its streets and see Staubbach Falls, Switzerland’s third-highest waterfall.
The return trip to Zurich offers more alpine scenery and fresh mountain air.
