Description

Spend a day in Central Switzerland on a private trip from Zurich. This is a suggested itinerary with three fixed stops and a set amount of time at each. Your driver picks you up at your hotel or any address in Zurich. The drive to Lucerne takes about 50 minutes. Lucerne (1 hour 30 minutes): walk through the Old Town, cross the Chapel Bridge and stroll along the lakeside promenade. Bürgenstock (1 hour 15 minutes, 30 minutes' drive): drive up to the Bürgenstock plateau and follow the Felsenweg, a path cut into the cliff high above Lake Lucerne, with wide views of the lake and mountains. The path is open in the warmer months; in winter you visit the viewpoints at the Bürgenstock resort instead. Engelberg (1 hour 30 minutes, 35 minutes' drive): visit the Benedictine abbey church and walk through the alpine village below Mount Titlis. There is time for lunch. The drive back to Zurich takes about 1 hour 15 minutes and ends at your hotel or address. The whole trip lasts about 7 hours 30 minutes. All three stops are free to visit. Food, drinks, cable cars and mountain lifts are not included. On request, your driver can change the order of the stops.
