Basilica
Zurich
At a glance
Basilica is a drinks-led bar, lounge and club in Zurich-West, with a Mediterranean atmosphere shaped by artistic details and romantic, comfortable surroundings. The venue is designed for relaxed socialising, evening drinks and event occasions rather than a restaurant-style dining experience.
The bar team focuses on creative cocktails and a selection of spirits, with flavour combinations intended to add variety to the drinks menu. Shisha is another central part of the experience, with a broad choice of flavours and specially presented shishas. The combination gives Basilica a lounge-oriented character suited to groups meeting for drinks, informal celebrations and nightlife.
Almost 400 square metres of space allow the venue to accommodate different types of visits. A 12-metre bar provides a strong visual focus, while the surrounding lounge setting creates room for conversation and shared drinks. The atmosphere is lively and social, with a varied mix of guests contributing to the venue’s distinctive character.
Basilica also operates as an events location. Its programme includes parties, while the space can be used for private occasions and corporate events. This makes it suitable for organisers looking for a bar and lounge setting rather than a conventional function room. Event enquiries can cover both personal celebrations and professional gatherings.
The venue’s location on Heinrichstrasse places it in Zurich-West, an established area for nightlife, hospitality and urban entertainment. Basilica’s format works particularly well for adults planning an evening centred on cocktails, spirits, shisha and conversation. The club element and event programme also give the space a more animated feel when parties or organised gatherings are taking place.
With its Mediterranean styling, generous interior, long bar and focus on drinks and shisha, Basilica offers a setting for social occasions across different group sizes. Reservations are available for visits and event planning, with suitability depending on the type of gathering and the desired atmosphere.
